As you may know i have an interest in gaming systems. To back that statement up to show i´m not that big of a loser, the average age of a gamer is actually 33. HAHA, losers! stats
Lately since I never really have much to do at work i´ve been trying to keep up to date on the race between 360, PS3 and Ninendo´s Wii. According to penny-arcade game forum 43% of the people online there are not planning on getting a PS3. Seems most of the excitement is in the nintendo Wii. It is only $279 at future shop compared to$659 for a PS3 or $500 for a Xbox 360.
The thing is gamers tend to be getting older (33) and want to go back to the more fun, addictive type games that anybody can play. The nintendo wii is constantly coming out with those type, it actually comes in the package with a multi sports pack so you can play games striaght out of the box. The games are so simple that my mom could play them, her favourite game used to be Tetris so go figure. Sorry mom, its true.
I have yet to read a great review on any ps3 games or the system. Maybe my sources suck. As for xbox 360 people are still buying it and enjoying the games. They keep coming out with new gen games that are amazing eg. gears of war. I personally won´t buy an xbox 360 until halo 3 comes out.
I must be bored if i´m writing about this crap, sorry to those that don´t care about games, but if you used to play nintendo when mario comes out, i would recommend buying a nintendo wii, just make sure you get a new strap that is thicker with it!
"People tended to get a bit excited, especially while playing Wii sports, and in some cases the control would come loose from their hands," Minagawa said. "The new strap will be almost twice as thick."
The control wand is one of the unique features of the Wii, which Nintendo introduced as its counterchallenge in a fierce competition with Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360.
Nintendo is hoping the easy-to-control wand will appeal to a wider crowd of players not just young men.
Customers can exchange the straps through their local Nintendo service centers, Minagawa said.
Wii's debuts were soon followed by reports of smashed glass and damaged television sets, while another fan apparently sprained and cut a finger on her right hand while trying to rally for a comeback victory in Wii baseball.
But the offbeat stories of Wii controllers going ballistic haven't hurt sales.
