no more hard drive

Let this be a warning to all. Do not move your external hard drive around while it is booting. *YOU MAY LOSE ALL OF YOUR PICTURES, MOVIES, MUSIC, ETC..."

GO figure, you go buy another 500 GB HD in order to back all of your crap up. All of sudden.......BAM! you're hard drive has no file system on it. MBR, gone. For those who don't know what that means. My hard drive went from having 150 movies, 10,000 songs, and 5 years of digital pictures to...let me count...ZERO. Thanks technology.

Good news, bad news.
Anyone else ever hear about that story? Something about falling out of a plane then landing in a haystack, but there was a pitchfork, but you missed it?
Last Wednesday, I...got my US tax payers cheque, had 3 people wanting to see the car, only one showed up, but he bought the car, then the other buyer called, he already bought a car, then the new buyer called, the car died on the way home, he thought i sold him a shit car, i deposited my tax money and sold car money in my account and transferred the car to his name, i had 1 million ants on the hood of my truck because i parked in the bushes, but i recieved new registration for my truck just in time for renewal. How's that for a good news bad news?

Now, my hard drive with all my important crap is toast, but i go on vacation starting 5 hours ago. Tomorrow i'll be San Francisco, then Pismo Beach, then Anaheim, then San Diego. Not all at once. One per day. My first real paid vacation ever. I'll be sure to post pics when i'm back.
