Working Sucks!

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that it is official...working sucks. It´s been a while since i got to update this. Basically i´m still not rich, but not incredibly poor either. I got my first paycheque yesterday and it was 1600 pesos for one week. But on the same day i got a paycheque i also got a bonus for a sale of 300 pesos. In lamen terms 7 6 packs of beer- $30. Not to bad, not to good. I think my next paycheque i might take 400 pesos and put a modchip in the xbox, that way i can get all the nintendo games-snes, atari, n64, whatever on there and have lots of games to play on the weekends. All in all, work is treating me good, sales are going half decent, there will be a lot of bonus´s for working in sales...especially since the owner is one of the most prominent people in Cancun, if not all of Mexico. 3 days the first week we got a tour of the hotels, plus dinner, plus all we can drink. Now they are asking what kind of spiffs we want when we do well. Next weekend if my team wins this next contest we go on a yacht tour of the lagoon and the ocean for 6 hours, i requested fishing tours, girls requested spa treatments. There will also be free tours of the ruins and underground caves and all that tourist kind of stuff as well. Unfortunatly Debbie doesn´t ever get weekends off so i´ll have to save them all up until our last month here. Or maybe she´ll find a different job. The only i have with selling is my damn mono voice, a few days this week the managers were like ¨Eric, where is your enthusiasm, people won´t beleive you if you don´t fluctuate your voice¨ i wish i could have said, listen man, i probably wouldn´t sound enthusiastic about winning a million dollars, thats the way it is. But whatever, i still sell, so as long as i keep selling i won´t lose my job.

I´ve done a couple things since last time i wrote, last saturday debbie came home from work and her cousin picked us up to take us to some ¨¨work virgin beach party¨ so i got out there and they had 3 mini kegs of beer, a couple tubs of ice, some tequila, and other good drinks. We played volleyball, soccer, and ate tacos. Wish i got a couple pictures because the beach was pretty neat.

Sunday morning, Debbie´s family came and picked us up at 9am. We drove to playa des carmen, it is 45 minutes south of cancun. Originally an old fishing village. The streets were filled with bored mexicans that usually do construction during the day. There were food vendors and people selling stuff everywhere. I still need to buy myself a poncho and a sombrero. I had the best tacos for breakfast i´ve ever had. You cant ask for much more then 3 tacos and a good glass bottle of coke for breakfast eh? I got a pic with 2 geckos, a parrot and debbie as well. After i got the pic he was like tip? tip? and i´m like no comprende, adios cabrone! So after that we drove some more down south to a place called peurto adventuros. IT was a resort style community filled with pools of dolphins, seals, sea lions, etc. I guess if you wanted to you could go swim with the dolphins, but we just got a couple pictures i´ll have to post and then went to the resort to eat and swim in the pool. We tried swimming in the ocean but it was way to rocky.

That brings us to today, debbie is working, i got to play xbox with my little amigos here for a few hours, now i´m probably going to rent a movie, read some more da vinci code and drink a couple cerveza. I was trying to post some pics from my buddies website from thailand but its not working and now i´m out of time as usual. By the time anyone reads this i should have more pics on.

salute

Yeah, your enthusiasm sucks - you just need to put the same effort that you do while drinking into selling time shares - actually just get hammered and sell..sell..sell...hahaha. Sabrina and I missed you at our wedding but it looks like you are having a great time down there. I will have to talk to you somemore regarding a smokin deal for a honeymoon sometime around feb-march. anyway, say hi to Debbi and drink a cervasa for me - or two - or fourteen.

Cheers

Not sure when we will ever have time off work, because it is a third world country most people work 7 days a week and still can´t pay bills. Since i am a lazy ass mexican i work monday to friday 8-5 so if anyone comes down here i am always willing to meet for drinks after work.
