rain hurts?

Hola from Cancun, Mexico!

It's always fun trying to find a internet connection in Cancun when it´s siesta time on sunday in Mexico. No one works between 3-5 here on Sundays! Ohwell though, i havn´t done anything today but watch Family Guy and play video games. Finally a full weekend. Our manager made this new rule that whoever doesn´t sell more then 10 sales in a week has to work Mandatory on Saturday. Luckily they are moving everything to our new room this weekend. It´s a shame, our old room had mold growing everywhere and the flu has been going around for the last few weeks. I did not get sick though, don´t worry.

I´d like to say congrats to Steve and Mike to making it to vietnam, thailand and laos without any major happenings and all the way back to their cockroach free homes in Canada. Lucky bastards! I´m sure they will be playing computer games and Halo in no time.

Debbie and I finally got stuck in the rain on last Friday. It was a good adventure. She wanted to take the bus...but for anyone that has been in a third world country they have third world buses. You might as well be standing outside in the rain if you want to ride in one of those while its raining. The seats just pool the water because they are a plastic bucket seat. So we headed out in the morning in the rain, after its already been raining alllll night. There were lakes on the road and potholes somewhere here and there. Nothing i´ve never been through before though. Pretty sure my dad and i have been stuck on bikes in snow, rain, hail and mud. No biggy. No rain jackets though! Just water resistent nylon windproof jackets, sunglasses and jeans. We went through puddles halfway up the bike, the electronic clutch didn´t like the water on the clutch to much, the rear brakes didn´t either...at all. To top it off, when you got faster then 50 km/h on a scooter with no windshield it feels like a million bees hitting your face. The only thing that saved me is knowing that we had already left and I didn´t want to be late for work because they dock $25 everytime you are. Maybe to you $25 is not very much but to me its a big chunk off the ol paycheck. So we made it through blistering winds and tropical storms...soaking wet.

I don´t feel like i am in a different country now that xmas has came. Everything is decorated in the malls and stores just like the normal commercial xmas i remember.

adios
