xmas time update

I didn't get a chance to update this on Sunday. I was busy, ummm...washing my clothes in the bathtub and trying to get the dryer to work. Sounds ghetto eh? All of this technology in the area and no working washing machine or dryer in the house. Mom, i'm coming home with some laundry.

The washer decided it didn't want to do the rinse cycle anymore and my landlord hasn't got around to calling a repair person. With that said, the washing machine has now been disassembled into about 4 or 5 pieces. I hope i'm not the one that has to put it back together. It seems like the switch is broken. This is weird though because the dryer switch decided to break a week after. Both of the machines are just over a month out of warranty, coincedence? I think not.

what else is new?
I ordered head phones off the internet, used them for 3 days, left them at work one night and blamo! someone stole them.
Our Holiday Party was last Saturday. I'm reluctant to say I did not have a date and I didn't win anything. There were some good prizes given out though. 2 32" lcd screens, 2 PS3's, an xbox 360, $300 amazon.com gift certificate, and about 30 other prizes. The food was good though. There was a choice of 3 different buffet areas: indian food, american food, and animal lovers food. The gin and tonics were very good as well.
The county I am in annouced a 32,000 increase in population largely due to immigration and more babies then deaths. 18,000 more babies then deaths to be exact.
I'm looking at a used car tomorrow. A '96 VW golf with 132k miles. The selling feature for me is the ski rack on top and AC.
I'll be coming home for Christmas from the 23rd to 4th. It will be good to be around familiar people again. I don't' know how people live by themselves away from all familiar grounds for years. They must be a different breed. It looks like there should be enough snow to do some snowboarding and snowmobiling, possibly some ice fishing. So if anyone wants me to bring something back for them speak now or wait until next time.
A buddy that i've been working with back in Kelowna will be moving down here within the next month or so. I'm looking forward to having a friend to hang out with again. Maybe i'll get a chance to go watch a hockey game and sit in the nose bleeds for $25. It's funny, even though I make more money I still have problems justifying spending $125 to sit closer to the ice. The game and people are probably way more fun in the nose bleeds.

That's all for now. Happy Holidays everyone. I'll probably see you over Christmas break.
