i would walk 500 miles

Hello everyone,

I have accomplished making it through christmas shopping in a city where there is nothing else to do but shop. Everyone came out of their bear holes and drove to the malls this weekend. The only way to put it is...SHIT SHOW...excuse the language. But imagine thousands of parking places and they are alllllllll full. Then imagine going inside the mall to try and buy stuff. I had many difficulties this weekend but i hurdled them all. The keys to good last minute shopping are the following:
1. park in a nearby store, not the mall parking lot. even if it is pouring down rain, snow, sleet, hurricane, tornado
2. walk in a straight line, make sure everyone else knows what direction you are walking or else you will be one of those annoying people that crosses other peoples paths
3. if you don't know what you are there to buy ask the nearest good looking girl to help you out, if she is well dressed and looks happy to be there she will be more than happy to assist you in picking out gifts, she does this for a hobby, but don't plan on dating her because she will obviously spend most of your money if you did
4. go to the stores with the least amount of lineup, be quick in picking out something that is somewhat intriguing because there will soon be a large lineup if you are too indecisive
5. when you get hungry leave the mall because the food court is worse to go get food at than the rest of the world
6. when you feel you are done shopping leave the mall before you go insane, no one needs to go insane just to get xmas shopping done
7. wait until it is later at night to go home, if you need to go to a close by pub for a drink or two that would be benifical to you and the rest of the rat race on the roads
8. most importantly, go at your own pace, don't let the other panicky people depict the speed in which you must get through the mall

That about does it, 8 easy rules. My only problems involved not knowing what i was buying, where i was going, or how to get there. It is a good feeling being home, safe, undisturbed, accomplished. Now i just need to actually get home home, like Penticton home. I have some major thinking to do now that i got what i came for (my retention bonus). Should i stay or should i go now? I think being home for a bit will help me decide this.

All the best to everyone in the new year!
