Certified Californian Driver

I have to give myself a pat on the back. I am one step closer to being a full on Californian. It is still undecided if that is a good or bad status to be. The sky is blue, the birds are out, it's 22 C all week long. There isn't much to complain about.

Yesterday morning I went into the DMV(Driver Motor Vehicle) center and wrote my driving knowledge test and passed with flying colors. They booked my actual driving test for this morning, so i took advantage of that and it is safe to say I can't be penalized for not having any proper documents now. I was going to hold off on the hassle of the drivers license, but what the heck, it was only $24 to get. Bonus, i get to keep my BC drivers license. So now, when i get speeding tickets down here it only goes on that license...pretty sweet!

Counting 3 times as of today, people have though the San Jose Sharks brought me down here to play for them. It would be ok if they asked jokingly, but nope, they are serious when they ask. My driving tester honestly asked if I played for the sharks because she saw I was Canadian. Which gives me an idea! It can't be hard for hockey players to pick up woman. If i just start telling everyone I play for the Sharks when i meet them i'll beleive myself eventually and it will make it easy to keep telling that story. Girls, what would be better? A Systems Engineer or a Pro hockey player? easy answer.

After coming back from new years and having the freedom of my own car i've been busy watching the hockey games the local watering hole, adventuring around the area, and working a lot. I registered as an individual looking for a soccer team at an indoor soccer club. I'm supposed to go practice this Sunday with a Div 1 team. I realize they are probably all Mexican and way better at soccer then me, but i'm sure I can keep up.

until next time...
