So here I am, being lame and not updating my blog for those that are still following. It's hard to find the time to want to write an update. An update should really contain 3 things:humor, events, personability. Lately mine have been quick, to the point and non-entertaining. I apologize for that. So, just before easter was my last update. Let's see if i can remember what has happened since then.
I got promoted at work. I am now considered to be a half a yearean. I didn't receive anything and i had to promote myself. I was so impressed with my 6 months that i've been down here that I celebrated it. Maybe more than once. Now i feel like a regular at work. People know who I am and I feel like I'm part of the culture there. It's always nice when you feel like you're at the right place when you walk into the office. It always takes a while. Sometimes longer than others, but when it happens, you know it. It probably helped that my buddy Andrew and his wife Angela came down here. I feel a bit bad though, lately because of all the playoff hockey going on he's probably been spending more time with me than her.

With that said, Boo flames and boo sharks! They were the 2nd and 3rd teams i was rooting for. Now i have to spend more time trying to get back into shape than watching hockey. Now all i can really say is SHARKS SUCK!!!! LETS GO CANUCKS!! whew, that felt good.

I wish i remembered what happened recently besides hockey. That didn't start to long ago. All i've really been up to is the regular stuff. Mountain biking as you can see, i met some dude up in the mountains going for a ride so now we go every friday after work. It's kinda crazy, the last 2 times i went riding, i went to the same area and there has been a hippy chick there both times. First time she was loaded full of what seemed like snowboarding hippy gear. It's hard to describe though. Picture a hippy, with random rags on, add some fancy snow gloves, add a hooded cloth over her entire head and face except her eyes and you get what i saw...hippy girl wandering a farout wooded area with big signs that say beware of cougars, in the fog, by herself. When i saw her i juuuust got to the top of this steep hill so i talked to her for a bit. This last time I saw another hippy girl wandering the same trail by herself, this time it was nicer and she was less of a snowboard hippy girl. So i stopped and somewhat presumed she would recognize me. You can imagine how that went...as i awkwardly kept on biking down the path after stopping abruptly to talk to what i thought was the same hippy girl. Learn something new everyday...there can be multiple hippy girls wandering the same path by themselves in the same area at the same time on the same day of the week. Or...maybe hippy girl deceived me. If you look at this picture closely, you can see hippy girl in the distance.

Just kidding...but there is a deer in the picture. I can see it on my bigscreen, you may not be able to. $2 to anyone that can find it. Remember, it's a californian deer, they are a lot smaller down here. You'd have to kill like 5 of them to make 1 BC deer.

Oh ya, last Saturday, I went to the San Francisco International Beerfest. It was some of the best fun i've had since i've been down here. Now i don't feel like i missed out on to much during Pentictons fest of ale or Kelowna's beerfest coming up. $60 for 3 hours of all you can drink and eat with 4000 other people. I can see how you might think, "$60, but Eric, isn't that too expensive for 3 hours of drinking". I did to. But NO! think about how retarded it is to go buy chips or coupons and have to carry them around all night with you and then you usually end up losing them or buying to many. Usually i used up about $40 worth at penticton's fest of ale. But Penticton's beerfest only has like 30 vendors. There was 300 here. No line ups. No one running out of beer. I'll add more pics when i get a chance. But here's one of the general scenery below to end of the post.
Until next time!

Enrique! I still enjoy your posts...quick and to the point is totally acceptable for someone who just got promoted to 'half a yearian'. Nice work buddy. I am so happy for you I think I will enjoy a celebratory beer (or 2) in your honour. Still working on a plan for a visit....
