end of summer

First of all, since i don't write on here very often, here are other posts about formo: http://blogsearch.google.com/blogsearch?hl=en&q=formo&btnG=Search+Blogs they should be just as good.

All in all this has been a great summer. A new life is ahead of me to a new paradise and a new way of life. Not too many people get the opportunity to get a free adventure to Silicon Valley, CA. The company i was working for decided to sell the company for relatively cheap so this new company has aquired somewhere between 20 and 50 patents and 400? employees. Who knows what the future holds for them. I hope I can make a difference.

Unfortunately I still have doubts about the unknown. On one side of things, I will love life, get promoted and enjoy the many challenges I will encounter. On the other side, I will love life, get promoted, enjoy the challenges and never move back to my real home. Family, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, camping, familiarity, not so dense, options, time, climate, culture, friends...lifestyle. My job will be the same down there but i won't know anyone to begin with. I guess the only difference between living in Cancun previously and going to live in California is the money. Who knows? Does $$$$$$ make a difference?

I hope i made up for it this summer. So far I have been to iron maiden - seattle, disturbed, slipknot, dragon force, mastadon, etc - seattle again, calgary stampede, edmonton, vancouver a couple times, beach lots, camping lots, penticton lots. Honestly, I am so used to not being in Kelowna that it will be fairly easy to leave and move to California. I have never felt like Kelowna was 'home.'

To anyone out there still reading this, this was a decision based on experience, adventure, timing of events or lack of, determination, failure to fail, seeking something somewhere somehow...not a gut feeling. If intuition was part of this decision I wouldn't be going. That was the 50/50 split. Intuition got 50% of my decision. You know when you go into a movie store to rent a movie and you see one that you want but you keep going to check out what else is in? Same situation. The first movie is usually the best choice. USUALLY.

Good luck to everyone and the choices they make in life. Remember, don't put yourself in a situation where there is a wrong choice to make.
